Premature Ejaculation
The condition where a man has an orgasm before or a very short time after penetration is defined as premature ejaculation. The important thing is not the duration of intercourse, if any, before ejaculation, but the fact is that the man has no voluntary control over his tendency to ejaculate. Premature ejaculation, which is one of the most common sexual dysfunctions today, causes a decrease in sexual desire towards the female partner. It is an important health problem that men usually encounter at any time in their lives, and it causes conflicts between partners. This problem may sometimes lead to divorces among married couples. Psychotherapy and pharmacotherapy are the most commonly used method in the treatment of premature ejaculation caused by conditions other than physical diseases. The psychiatric evaluation of the patient’s ejaculation problem is an important process for obtaining information and identifying a diagnosis. Some surgical procedures that are used for the treatment of premature ejaculation may be listed as injection treatments with fillers to reduce the hypersensitivity of the penis, frenuloplasty, neurotomy, scrotoplasty, and Y-V plasty, which are usually implemented simultaneously with sex therapy.
When evaluated with medical data, ejaculation occurring between 60-90 seconds from the beginning of sexual intercourse is defined as premature ejaculation.
Types of Premature Ejaculation are analyzed in 4 groups; Primary Premature Ejaculation,Secondary Premature Ejaculation, Varying Premature Ejaculation and Emotional Premature Ejaculation.
Premature ejaculation is a disease that has a solution with correct psychological therapies and treatment methods. In cases where the possible treatment is not answered, a definitive solution is provided by surgical intervention.
